Los determinantes avanzados cambian el foco y el significado. En C2 es importante distinguir cantidad aproximada, totalidad distributiva y ausencia total, y controlar la concordancia y la estructura partitiva: each/every presentan distribución, either/neither suelen referirse a dos opciones, few/a few y little/a little cambian el matiz de cantidad, y much of/many of requieren un referente determinado cuando introducen una estructura partitiva. También hay que distinguir el determinante que precede al sustantivo de los pronombres que pueden aparecer solos.
